Speed-Do-Meter
Privacy Policy
In one sentence: Speed-Do-Meter collects no personal data. There is no server belonging to the developer. Your sessions stay on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud account — which the developer cannot access.

What the app reads on your device
Speed-Do-Meter is a speedometer and a track recorder. To work, it reads sensors. Here is which ones, why, and where the result goes.

What the app sends, and to whom
Speed-Do-Meter sends nothing to a developer server, because none exists. Three Apple services are used, and only when you use the matching feature:
iCloud (CloudKit)
Your sessions are stored in the private database of your iCloud account, so you find them on your other devices — typically a session recorded on Apple Watch showing up on iPhone. That database is encrypted and tied to your Apple Account. The developer has no access to it: a user's private database is readable neither by the developer nor by Apple.
You can turn iCloud sync off for the app in Settings → your name → iCloud. The app then works entirely offline.
WeatherKit
To show the temperature, the app asks Apple for the weather, sending your approximate coordinates. Apple states these requests are not associated with your identity and are not kept in identifiable form. See Apple's weather data privacy policy. If you don't care for the feature, the temperature simply reads “--” and nothing is sent.
Apple Maps (search and directions)
When you search a destination or start a route, the text you type and the start and end coordinates are sent to Apple Maps to get suggestions and the route. Those requests are governed by Apple Maps' privacy policy. If you never use search, nothing is sent.
No third parties. Speed-Do-Meter embeds no analytics, no advertising, no ad network, no third-party SDK. There is no advertising identifier, no tracker, no profiling.
What is never done
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data. To anyone.
- No account to create: no email, no password, no identifier.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No data sent to a developer server — there isn't one.
Retention and deletion
Your sessions stay on your device as long as you keep them. Deleting a session in the History tab removes it, including from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes all local data; iCloud data can be removed from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Children
Speed-Do-Meter is not directed at children and knowingly collects no data about them. Since no data is collected at all, the question does not arise differently for them.
Your rights
Data protection laws such as the GDPR grant rights of access, correction and deletion over data held by a controller. The developer holds none of your data, so there is nothing to request or delete on that side. Your data stays under your direct control, on your device and in your Apple Account.
Security
Data does not leave your device except to the Apple services described above, all encrypted in transit. iCloud sync uses Apple's encryption and your Apple Account.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with the update date. A significant change will be noted in the app's release notes.
